It's always good to be back in my home town (Amsterdam).
So there I am having a lunch at 'Paledium' on the Leidseplein. Have been going there for years. First when I was working at Anderson & Lembke and later when at StrawberryFrog. I'm whipping out my iPhone to show the locals what living in New York is all about. No reaction. Nothing. What's that? No iPhone envy? I'm appalled at their ignorance until I notice one iPhone and a second, and a third on the table opposite me.
Apparently unlocked iPhones are a hit in Europe. So slowly but surely I stop the movement of my arm bringing the iPhone above my head and reverse course in a decisive way as if it was my intention all that time to make that move. Luckily nobody noticed it.
