Damn. That was a tight second game. It started at 5 pm while I was still at work and I had to finish some stuff. So I listened through online radio. The Yankees got a solo home run in the 3rd inning. And the Cleveland Indians never got a run in although the were threathening all the time. Excellent pitching by Petite kept it 1-0. But it was close all the time so I didn't want to go home cause I might miss something.
Then came the 8th inning. 'Joba' had relieved Petite at the end of the 7th inning and had dealt easily with the batters. But the 8th would be different. Suddenly the little flies came from everywhere and changed the game (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJTR1LMM3go&mode=related&search=). Jaba Chamberlain is a rookie. Throws excellent stuff but just turned 21. Pitching is one of the most difficult parts of the game. Where everything needs to be in perfect alignment.
The flies made Joba loose his concentration. A walk, a bunt and two wild pitches allowed Cleveland to equalize. Then I knew it was just a matter of time. Cleveland won in the 11th inning. I could finally go home.
Sunday is game three. If the Yankees lose again they are out.
