I got it working! I did have to go to the AT&T store and I had to stand in line for half an hour then had to call AT&T Customer Support in the store and the I got a new SIM card but it's working. I can't believe it. It's been a weird couple of days. It reminds me a but when I got my first mobile phone in '96. That  day I had the tendency to hold that mobile in my right hand just a bit above my head. As if saying to the rest of the world: "You can reach me now." Had no clue how it would change my life. I mean, how it would change the way I communicate.

I have the feeling that the iPhone is like that. It will change the way how I communicate with the rest of the world. How that will play out I will have to experience the next couple of months. There will be a period of bewilderment of trying to take in everything. Then there will be a moment of acceptance. And finally you'll be thinking, what's next. But for now it's just enjoying new technology to the fullest.

And here's the reason I'm into Apple products:
"The iPhone really is a study in "delight." It really is wonderful that, in an industry rife with companies striving for mediocrity, one company is still doing things right. Those of us who flocked to Apple in the beginning did so not to build computers, but to change the world. Apple is once again doing just that."

P.S. Except for the 'change the world' part.
